Q: Is RCM Coast Guard approved and STCW compliant? 

A: Yes, RCM’s site, courses, and instructors are all approved by the USCG and STCW compliant. All RCM Maritime courses are submitted to the Coast Guard for review to ensure they comply with the current STCW regulations and established requirements. Instructor credentials are submitted to the Coast Guard and evaluated to ensure they have the skills, licenses, and other certifications/documents to teach the applicable courses of instruction. Classroom facilities are also approved by the United States Coast Guard.

Q: How do I register and pay for a class?  

A: You can register on our website, via email at rcm@rcmmaritime.com, or by calling our office at 843-737-5808 to reserve your seat for your class. Some courses require a deposit to reserve your seat due to popularity. The full class payment is due prior to the start of class. 

Q: What are RCM Maritime’s refund policies? 

A: RCM Maritime will issue a course only refund prior to the first day of the class if the student is no longer able to take the course. Once the class day has arrived, there are no refunds expressed or implied for any reason, and course fee’s are not transferable. 

RCM Maritime is not responsible for and will not refund any ancillary costs such as hotel expenses, flights to include flight changes, or any other travel or food costs, etc. related to a student taking, dropping out of, failing a class, class date changes or cancellations due to inclement weather or any other reason. 

If RCM has to cancel class due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be reimbursed the full course amount paid.

Q: What are RCM Maritime’s re-scheduling policies?  

A: If you wish to re-schedule, there are no fees. However, you must re-schedule no later than one week before the class is to occur or fees may apply.

Q: Do you offer lodging at your facility?

 A: We do not, however, we have discounted rates with multiple hotels closeby.
